Sept. 18, 2012 - The North Central College volleyball team remained unbeaten in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play on Tuesday, encountering little resistance in a 3-0 sweep of North Park University at Gregory Arena.
The Cardinals (10-3, 2-0 CCIW) improved to 3-0 in home matches this season and defeated North Park for the ninth straight time, winning by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-17.
North Central led comfortably throughout most of the evening, hitting .341 for the match and recording 10 service aces while allowing none. The Cardinals' offense was particularly deadly in the second set as the hosts hit a sizzling .533 with just one error.
Jenae Harner put up a match-high 12 kills for North Central, while
Kedryn Orrison hit .583 with eight kills before sitting out the final set.
Laura Kluk totaled 35 assists and shared the team lead in service aces with Orrison, as each finished with three, and
Sarah Eggert provided a team-high 15 digs.
The Cardinals travel to the Wheaton College Tournament for four matches on Friday and Saturday at King Arena.
