AURORA, Ill. (Sept. 8, 2012) - 
The North Central College volleyball team extended its current winning streak to six matches with a perfect 4-0 finish at the Aurora University Jim Coleman Memorial Tournament on Friday and Saturday, dropping just one set the entire weekend.

The Cardinals (8-1) showed deadly efficiency on offense, hitting at least .350 in every match, and totaled 39 service aces in becoming one of two teams to post a perfect record at the event.

North Central opened with a 3-0 victory over Rockford College, cruising past the Regents, 25-14, 25-17, 25-14. Jenae Harner put up eight kills, with Amanda Hilmer and Kedryn Orrison adding seven. Laura Kluk totaled 33 assists and Sarah Eggert added 18 digs. The Cardinals followed by rolling over Manchester College (Ind.), 25-11, 25-12, 25-15, as Orrison hit .650 with 14 kills. Kluk provided six service aces and 32 assists and Eggert compiled 18 digs.

Saturday's action opened with North Central recording a 3-1 win over Principia College. After dropping the first set, 25-21, the Cardinals followed by claiming the next three sets, 25-21, 25-16 and 25-20. Orrison led the way with 15 kills and four service aces, Amanda Walker hit .714 with 12 kills and Hilmer put up 10 kills while hitting .529. Eggert contributed 19 digs and Kluk tallied 43 assists. 

The Cardinals finished the weekend with a 3-0 win over Beloit College (Wis.), topping the Buccaneers by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-16. Hilmer, Walker and Harner each finished with 10 kills as North Central hit .481 as a team. Eggert and Jessie Fiala each finished with 10 digs and Kluk had 35 assists.

The Cardinals open College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play on Tuesday, hosting Illinois Wesleyan University (5-4). Action at Gregory Arena is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
