Feb. 7, 2013 – The North Central College wrestling team was outdone at the hands of Elmhurst College, 41-3, in a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) dual match inside Gregory Arena.
 
The Bluejays (11-1) are currently ranked second nationally according to the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association  (NWCA) poll, while six individuals rank in the top-ten of their respective weight-classes, led by No. 1 ranked Joe Rau at 184 pounds.
 
Elmhurst claimed nine of the ten weight classes on the evening, recording a pair of pins and five wins by major decision.
 
The Cardinals (4-11) lone victory on the night came from Nathan Segal at 149 pounds as the sophomore bounced back from an early deficit and scored a pair of takedowns en route to a 6-4 decision over Maxx Lozano.
 
North Central will take part in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational held on Saturday, Feb. 9 with opening matches slated for 9 a.m.
