Sept. 18, 2013 –
Scoring the equalizer with just 24 seconds remaining in regulation, the North Central College men's soccer team finished in a 2-2 tie with Milwaukee School of Engineering, Wednesday night inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

The Raiders (3-1-3) took an early 2-0 lead, scoring a pair of goals in a span of just over one minute.  Drew Porter got the scoring started, connecting on his third goal of the season off a pass from Brock Schilling in the 10th minute.  Just over a minute later, MSOE's Gerardo Rubio sent a shot towards the left post that was re-directed into the back of the net by a Cardinals defender, giving the Raiders a two-goal advantage.

The Cardinals (4-2-1) cut the lead in half 2-1 in the 29th minute as Lucas Habeeb found Bret Hruby on a cross in front of the net, Hruby's second goal of the season.

North Central controlled possession a majority of the second hald and outshot the Raiders by a 12-3 margin but still trailed by one until Brett Hruby struck again, sending home the equalizer with just 24 seconds remaining in regulation off a pass from Michael Lenzi.

Each team recorded a shot in the overtime periods, but neither team was able to find the game-winner.

North Central returns to the pitch Saturday, Sept. 21, hosting 24th-ranked University of Chicago at 6 pm.
