ELMHURST, Ill. (Feb. 6, 2014) – The North Central College wrestling team jumped out to a 14-3 lead over Elmhurst College on Thursday night, but the Bluejays rallied to win the final five matches of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin dual to earn a 23-14 victory. 

Nick Santos (22-12) defeated Eric English 8-4 in the opening match and 10^th-ranked Layten Binion (31-6) followed with a 6-4 sudden victory over Miguel Venecia for his 31^st win of the season. 

At 149 pounds, Nathan Segal (32-12) defeated Maxx Lozano, 15-6, for his 8^th major decision of the year.  Josh Tardy (33-9) also won via major decision on Thursday, defeating Sergio Lopez 18-6. 

North Central finishes the 2013-14 regular season at 7-7 in dual action and 0-3 in the CCIW.  The Cardinals host the CCIW Championships on Feb. 20 at 5:00 p.m. at Merner Field House.
