th. The game ended in a 3-2 loss for the Cardinals against the 21
st ranked Hope College Flying Dutch.
The first half proved to be tough for the Cardinals. Hope had seven shots on goal in the first 23 minutes. Following a series of fouls by North Central, Hope took advantage and made the most of their opportunity with a goal at the 24
th minute of the first period.
It did not take long for the Flying Dutch to add on to their lead. At the 33
rd, Hope scored again and increased their lead to 2-0.
The Cardinals fought back and forward
Evan Landmark brought them back in the game with a late first period goal. Hope was called for a foul and the Cardinals used their positioning on the field to get an unassisted goal for Landmark.
The Flying Dutch (1-0) continued their offensive push with nine more shots in the second period.
Hope scored their third goal at 53
rd, leaving the Cardinals down 3-1.
North Central (0-1) came back firing and shut the Flying Dutch down for the next 19 minutes. The defensive stand led to an impressive header goal by junior

The Cardinals attempted to tie up the game with an offensive push in the final five minutes. The Hope defense proved to be too tough to break through and they maintained their lead for a 3-2 win over the North Central Cardinals.
