Borzick Named CCIW Men's Soccer Defensive Player Of The Week

Oct. 13, 2015 - North Central College sophomore Jon Borzick has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 13.

Borzick helped lead the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory over 15th-ranked North Park University on Saturday. He succesfully held the CCIW's leading goal-scorer Pedram Tahmi Masoleh goalless,which was the first time all season this had happened. It was also the first time in 2015 that the Vikings had gone scoreless for the entirety of a game.

The Cardinals host Elmhurst College in their next CCIW matchup at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 14, with game time at 5:30 pm.
