The Cardinals lone victory came at the No. 3 singles position, as
Kelsey Forkin fought back after dropping the opening set to defeat Rebecca McIsaac, 1-6, 6-2, 10-7.
In doubles play, the Hawks (1-0) took all three matches from North Central (0-1), as Forkin and
Clare O'Connor fought tough at the No. 1 position to Amy Kuhle and Sydney Lynch, but ultimately fell 8-4.
North Central will stay in Quincy, Ill. this weekend, taking part in the Quincy Tournament, Sept. 11-12.
