(Sept. 7, 2015) – Continuing its unblemished start to the season, the North Central College women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Blackburn College in a non-conference matchup Monday morning.
The two teams fought tough through the first set, as the Cardinals snuck out a 25-23 victory in the opening set, while the second set was all North Central, coasting to a 25-12 win. Set number three resembled the opener, as the Cardinals came away with a 25-23 win, clinching the match in the process.

Cara Howell and
Bridget White each finished with seven kills over the course of the match, while
Ashley Powers added six kills on just seven total attacks.
Powers also finished with a match-high 32 assists, while defensively
Jill Galovic led the way with 11 digs.
North Central is back in action Sept. 11, traveling to Chicago, Ill. for the North Park University Clash, squaring off against Manchester University and No. 21 Nebraska Wesleyan University on the opening day at 2 pm and 6 pm, respectively.
