ADRIAN, Mich. (OCT. 22, 2018) – Traveling to Michigan to play their final game of the year, the North Central women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Adrian College (10-5-1) Monday night.

The Cardinals struggled against a superb defensive team, which holds a .86 goals against average. The Bulldogs leapt to a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute, when they scored off a rebound. Adrian struck again in the 25th minute, this time from a header off a corner kick.

North Central was unable to turn things around in the second half. The Bulldogs extended their lead to 3-0 in the 46th minute, off another header from a corner kick. Although the Cardinals generated more chances in the second half — three shots on goal, five in total — none beat goalkeeper Kristen Page.

In net for the Cardinals, Gretchen Frantz made eight saves. Lexi Dimovski, Allyson Viederis, Kacie Moran, Julia Siroky, and Bri McAloon each tallied a shot on goal.

Monday's loss brings an end to North Central's 2018 season, which was filled with the ups and downs that are expected from any young team. But there were plenty of highlights, from their four-game winning streak, to their defiant victory over Elmhurst. More importantly, the Cardinals don't graduate any seniors, which should make for an exciting season next year.
