2018 CCIW All-Conference Men's Soccer Teams

Nov. 6, 2018 - Three members of the North Central College men's soccer appear in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference men's soccer teams, released Tuesday.

Junior Alexis Flores and senior Gavin Sanchez are the two Cardinals that are on the first team, with sophomore Austin Lombardi being selected to the second team. 

Flores led the Cardinals in goals on the season with 11, scoring four of those in CCIW competitions. He also added five assists on the season in total, with four of those also in games against CCIW opponents. This is the junior's first selection to an All-CCIW team.

Sanchez was the tied for the team-lead in assists with Flores at five. He also added three goals on the seasons for a total of 11 points, ranking third on the team in that category. This is the second time Sanchez has been selected to an all-conference team after his selection to the second team last year.

Lombardi was selected after an outstanding sophomore season. The midfielder started all 16 games he played in this season, scoring three goals and assisting on four more. This is Lombardi's first time being selected on an All-CCIW team.

The Cardinals finished with a 9-8 overall record on the season, with a 4-4 regular season CCIW record. They advanced to the CCIW tournament for the third time in four seasons, dropping the semifinal match-up to no. 17-ranked North Park University
