College Triathlon Coaches Association 2017-18 Academic All-America Team

May 10, 2018 – Following a season that celebrated the program's first team and individual national championship titles, North Central College women's triathlete Naomi Hill has been recognized by the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) as an Academic All-America honoree. The CTCA released its Academic All-America selections for the 2017-18 competitive seasons on Thursday.

The Academic All-American Awards are awarded to those varsity triathletes who competed in the College Varsity Triathlon National Championship and carried a Fall grade point average of 3.5 or greater. Honorable Mention Honors are awarded to those varsity triathletes who achieved a 3.5 or greater for the Fall semester and competed in at least one regional championship.

Hill completed a successful freshman campaign with the Cardinals, placing first among her teammates at the USA Triathlon West Region Qualifier on Sept. 30 in Berkeley, Calif., finishing with a time of one hour, 13 minutes, 50.8 seconds and placing 13th overall. She competed at the USA Triathlon National Championship in Phoenix on Nov. 4, improving on her previous time and finishing the course in 1:13:36 and placing 40th overall.

North Central will chase a second Division III championship title in the fall, beginning at home in Naperville as the hosts for the North Central College Division III Invitational on Sept. 3.
