Oct. 8, 2019 - Becoming the second North Central College men's soccer player to be named player of the week, senior
Alexis Flores earned the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Flores posted his first career hat trick to push the Cardinals past Wheaton College on Oct. 1st. His third goal came in overtime as North Central upset the then No. 19 ranked Thunder. On Sunday night, Flores recorded his third assist of the season as he connected with Jack Fairwood to secure the 2-0 victory over Benedictine University.
The Hanover Park native ranks third in the CCIW for shots taken with 34. Flores also ranks fourth in both goals (6) and points (15). He is the second Cardinal be named CCIW Player of the Week as Marco Soto has won the award twice as the defensive Player of the Week.
The Cardinals invite Illinois Wesleyan University to Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Wednesday. North Central looks to win their fifth consecutive game. The game is set to begin at 7:30 pm.
