National Statistical Rankings: The Cardinals currently rank first among 247 Division III programs in first downs (366) while ranking second in total offense (559.6 yards per game), scoring offense (52.6 points per game) and third in passing efficiency (196.18) and red-zone offense (92.4%) and fifth in third-down conversion percentage (53.5%).
Kamienski leads the nation in receiving yards (1,882) and receptions (124). Kamienski and Greenfield rank first (30)and second (29), respectively, nationwide in total touchdowns. Greenfield also leads the nation in all-purpose yards (2,409) and rushing yards (2,031) while ranking second in rushing touchdowns (26).
Rutter sits second in passing efficiency (201.7), passing yards (4,328) and passing touchdowns (54) and third in completion percentage (71.3%).
North Central Team Records: The Cardinals have already established new single-season school records for points scored (736), total offensive yards (7,834), total touchdowns (102), passing yards (4,559), passing touchdowns (57) and rushing touchdowns (42).
North Central's 59-52 second-round victory at Mount Union produced new single-game program records for total yards (699) and passing yards (522), and the 111 total points scored matches the highest total in a game involving a North Central team since 1968.
North Central Career Rankings: Rutter is the Cardinals' all-time leader in pass completions (998), passing attempts (1,476), passing yards (14,002) touchdown passes (138).
Kamienski is the program's all-time leader in career receptions (253), receiving yards (3,620) and receiving touchdowns (45) while ranking fourth in points scored (270) and fifth in all-purpose yards (3,947), while Talha Ayhan ranks seventh in quarterback sacks (18.5) and 15th in tackles for loss (26.5), Jake Beesley sits 11th in pass breakups (19) and 12th in passes defended (26) and Ben Wong ranks 13th all-time in tackles (166).
In just his second season of collegiate play, Greenfield ranks fourth all-time in rushing touchdowns (34), fifth in rushing yards (2,748) and sixth in all-purpose yards (3,353) and points scored (228).
'Red Zone' Returns in 2019: Once again, fans of North Central College football can get an insider's look at the Cardinals' football program, as 'The Red Zone' highlight show returns for its 12th season on Naperville Community Television, Channel 17.
The show airs each Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday at 12:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 3:30, 7:00 and 9:30 p.m., Saturday at 12:30 and 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. It will feature interviews with coaches and players, highlights of the previous week's game, and a look ahead to the upcoming opponent.
