CCIW Press Release
Sept. 23, 2019 - After a historic performance in Saturday's victory, North Central College wide receiver Andrew Kamienski has been recognized by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) as its Offensive Player of the Week, giving him the distinction for the first time in his collegiate career.
Kamienski played a pivotal role in the Cardinals' 46-13 win at then-No. 24-ranked Washington University in St. Louis, establishing a new North Central single-game record with 15 receptions to break the previous record of 14 shared by Michael Sfikas '19 and Tyke Spencer '06. Kamienski totaled 181 yards in the game, the sixth-highest single-game total in the program's history, and caught two touchdown passes.
Through two games this season, Kamienski has caught 24 passes for 284 yards, making him the early NCAA Division III national leader in receptions per game (12.0). He currently ranks third in the Cardinals' history in career receptions (153), fifth in receiving yards (2,022), eighth in receiving touchdowns (17) and 10th in all-purpose yards (2,322). He is a two-time First Team All-CCIW selection and D3football.com All-North Region honoree.
The Cardinals (2-0, 1-0 CCIW) host North Park University (0-2, 0-1 CCIW) Saturday during North Central's Homecoming Weekend. Kickoff at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Click HERE for the full 2019 schedule.
