CCIW Player of the Week Release
Jan. 27, 2020 - After a career performance to begin the 2020 season on Jan. 23, men's volleyball opposite hitter
Jason Eslinger was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Eslinger recorded 22 kills in the Cardinal's Jan. 23 game against Aurora University, a game in which North Central lost 3-2. The senior's 22 kills were the most in program history in a single match, breaking the old record of 21 by Jake Braceros in 2016. Eslinger also had the second-highest hitting percentage on the team of 0.364 and assisted on one kill as well.
This is the first time a men's volleyball student-athlete has received this award in the newly formed CCIW men's volleyball conference after four years within the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League, where there was three occurrences of a team member winning the weekly award.
The Cardinals look for their first win of the new campaign on Tuesday, when they host Concordia-Chicago at 7 pm. Click
