Mar. 2, 2020 - North Central College men's volleyball freshman Jeremy Cardenas has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Athlete of the Week for this week, following his stellar performance on defense from the week prior.

Cardenas recorded 10 total blocks over the course of three games last week, highlighted by six against no. 4-ranked New Paltz on Saturday. His block total in that contest is tied for fourth on the all-time program list for blocks in a single match and also ties his career high in a single match in the category. 

This marks the seventh-straight week that a North Central men's volleyball player has been named the conference player of the week.
