Apr. 14, 2020 - Following their outstanding 2020 campaigns, 
Jared Moser, 
Justin Curtis, and 
Jason Eslinger of the North Central College men's volleyball team were among 14 selections to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) inaugural West Division All-Region team, the organization announced Tuesday.
This is the first year the AVCA has selected All-Region teams, with four separate regions consisting of 14 members each. Those selected on the All-Region teams are now eligible to be selected to the All-American squad, announced later this month.
The Cardinals were tied for second in number of selections with three, tying College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin foe 12th-ranked Carthage College. Dominican University paced all schools in the region with four selections.
On the season, 
Jared Moser averaged 3.27 kills per set as a freshman, ranking first on the team in that department. He also ranked second the team in service aces with 20. Last month, Moser was also named to the first team on the All-CCIW team, being named the Newcomer of the Year as well.
Eslinger was second on the team in kills with 3.18 per set, while leading the team in service aces with 25. He also paced the Cardinals in digs with 125, or 2.05 per set and had 30 blocks. The senior was also selected to the first team All-CCIW team last month.
Curtis was the Cardinal's most efficient attacker this season at 0.414 percent, recording 113 kills. He also was one of the top blockers on the team, recording 41 which was good for second on the team. The senior was selected the the second team All-CCIW last month for his efforts this year.
The Cardinals finished 2020 with a 12-6 record, going 5-1 in conference play.
