Emily Stallmann of the North Central College women's volleyball team has been crowned the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference released on Tuesday.
In her five sets played against Millikin on Wednesday, Stallmann posted 20 digs to add to her season-high three service aces. On Friday, the St. Charles native added 13 more digs and a pair of aces in her four sets played against Elmhurst. Stallmann currently ranks third in the CCIW in digs per set with 4.69 and 10th in service aces per set at 0.37.
The sophomore ranks first on the team in digs with 277 over the 59 sets played. Stallmann is second for service aces with 22 and third in assists with 53. Stallmann is the 19th women's volleyball player to receive a weekly honor from the conference and the first defensive award recipient since Laura Kluk in 2014.
The Cardinals compete in their final regular-season match tomorrow evening as Augustana comes to Gregory Arena. The first serve is set for 7 PM and you can find links to live video and live stats HERE.
