2021 United Soccer Coaches Regional Staffs of the Year 

Nov. 30, 2021 - After winning their first ever College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) championship and reaching the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the North Central College men's soccer coaching staff earned the United Soccer Coaches' Regional Coaching Staff of the Year for Region VIII. 

The United Soccer Coaches' Regional Coaching staff of the year award is voted on by other coaches in the region who are also members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services program. North Central will be placed into the National Coaching Staff of the Year ballot and the voting will begin Dec. 8 and the winners will be announced on Dec. 17. 

Head coach Enzo Fuschino, graduate assistant Zach Serovy, and assistant coaches Dimitri Tsoukalas and Tobi Goldberg led the Cardinals to a 18-2-1 (6-1-1 CCIW) record while claiming a CCIW Championship and a NCAA Tournament bid. The Cardinals broke multiple program records this season including, the most wins in a single season, the most shutouts, the fewest goals allowed, and the longest unbeaten streak in a single season. 

The Cardinals also had five CCIW All-Conference selections with Dane Richardson earning Newcomer of the Year, Aidan Westerberg earning the Elite 25 award and Fuschino earning Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. 

North Central was honored by United Soccer Coaches' with three All-Region players as Sid Marquardt, Johnny Kraemer and Richardson earned those honors. Marquardt and Westerberg were honored by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on the Academic All-District teams.
