Kenosha, Wis. (Dec. 2, 2021) - Â Competing in their second dual of the season, the North Central College women's wrestling team defeated the Carthage College Firebirds 32-1 in a dual meet on Thursday evening inside Tarble Arena.Â
The matches started off with Amber Turner (101) and Angelina Graff (109) both earning wins by forfeit. Turner improved her record to 2-5 on the season while Graff improved her record to 5-4. Brooke Crawley improved her record to 3-4 as she won by decision (10-2) over Natalie Majer of Carthage.Â
Halle White (130) defeated her opponent Nadia Flores by pinning her in the first 30 seconds of the match improving her record to 6-4 on the season. In the 136-pound weight class, Raena Schledwitz defeated her opponent Adele Senzig by tech fall (10-0) to move to 4-2 on the season.Â
Shelby Ottum and Yelena Makoyed would both receive forfeit wins in the 143 and 170-pound weight classes to secure the second dual meet win of the season for the Cardinals. Ottum improved her record to 4-5 and Makoyed remained a perfect 6-0.Â
The Cardinals are back in action on Sunday as they host the Indiana Tech University Warriors in a dual meet. The matches are set to start at 12:00 p.m. inside Gregory Arena. For live coverage of Sunday's meet, click HERE.
