Mar. 2, 2021 - North Central College senior women's triathlon student-athlete Naomi Hill has been selected as one of 42 fall student-athletes from the 2020 season to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

The NCAA recently announced its list of 21 male and 21 female recipients from across all three divisions. The NCAA's Postgraduate Scholarship program, instituted in 1964, promotes and encourages education by rewarding the Association's most accomplished student-athletes. To qualify, student-athletes must excel academically and athletically, be in their final year of eligibility and plan to pursue graduate study. Student-athletes must also maintain at least a 3.2 grade-point average and be nominated by their institution's faculty athletics representative.

Hill, a psychology and behavioral neuroscience major with a minor in wellness from Ankeny, Iowa, earned USA Triathlon (USAT) All-Region honors in 2017 and 2018 and received All-America accolades in 2017 after a fourth-place finish at the USAT National Collegiate Championships in Tempe, Arizona. Also a Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) Academic All-American in 2017 and 2018, Hill helped lead the Cardinals to Division III team national championships both seasons.

Hill is North Central's first NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient since men's cross country and track and field student-athlete Travis Morrison '15 in 2015. Hill is one of just two honores from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) for the 2020 fall season, joining Augustana College football player Alek Jacobs.
