Individual Scholar All-Americans 

May 15th, 2021 - Seven North Central College women's wrestlers were named National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Women's Scholar All-Americans, while the team finished ninth in the country with a team grade-point average of 3.378, the organization released on Friday.

Earning the Scholar All-American title for the 2021 season was Amber Latta, Elizah Leonard, Yelena Makoyed, Amanda Martinez, Sarah Martinez, Mateah Roehl, and Raena Schledwitz. This marks the second consecutive year that Makoyed and Amanda Martinez earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors. These seven wrestlers represent five different majors across campus.

On the year, North Central earned six athletic All-Americans while three individuals were named to USA National Teams. Makoyed posted a perfect 13-0 record to be crowned the program's first-ever National Champion at the NCWWC in March.

In total, 101 individuals were named Scholar All-Americans from separate 16 institutions. Adrian College led the way with a team GPA of 3.743, followed by McKendree (3.720), King (3.621), Augsburg (3.586), and Gannon (3.573) to round out the top five.
