2020-21 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

July 19, 2021 – For the second-consecutive year, the North Central College men's volleyball team earned the Team Academic Award presented by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), released by the organizations on Monday.
 
The team academic award has been presented since the 1992-93 academic year and honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.
 
This marks the second Team Academic Award in the short history of the program, also earning the distinction in 2019-2020.
 
The Cardinals were one of just three teams from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) represented, as Carthage College and Loras College joined the list of 35 total collegiate men's programs honored last season among all NCAA Divisions.
 
North Central is set to kick off the 2022 season on Saturday, Jan. 22 inside Keating Sports Center on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology at 1 p.m.
