2022 All-CCIW Women's Soccer Teams

Oct. 28, 2022 - Following its historic regular season, the North Central College women's soccer program found four of its student-athletes on the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams while Ellie Lochbaum earned the distinction of Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year.

With the team's 11-1-5 overall record and 4-0-4 CCIW record, North Central finished second in the CCIW regular season marking the highest finish in program history, and its first year without a loss in conference play.

As a junior defender, Lochbaum secured the program's first-ever Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year honor and was named to the All-CCIW First Team for her second-consecutive season. Lochbaum was an asset to a Cardinal defense that held its opponents to 14 goals all season—only six of which were scored by CCIW opponents. Lochbaum's efforts were not limited to the defensive side of the ball as she's added three goals and two assists into her stat line as well.

Junior forward, Elle Sutter adds to her list of accolades with her second-straight All-CCIW First Team selection after leading the team with 13 goals this season—good for second in the CCIW and fourth in the program's single-season history. Sutter has four assists and 30 points on the year and leads the conference with 39 shots on goal.

Junior forward, Sarah Andrey earns her first All-CCIW honor, being named to this year's First Team after recording seven goals, two assists, and three game-winning goals (GWG). Andrey is third in the CCIW for GWG and her 4.59 shots per game average is the conference lead.

Morgan Verbeten earns her first All-CCIW distinction on the Second Team after scoring three goals and tallying three assists in the regular season.

The Cardinals host a CCIW semifinal match on Wednesday, Nov. 2 as the No. 2 seed and will face the winner of Saturday's Wheaton College and Carthage College quarterfinal match. For more information regarding the 2022 women's soccer CCIW Tournament, click HERE.
