Cards Win 35th Straight Dual With Win Over Aurora

Naperville, Ill. (Nov. 1st, 2022) -  In the first conference dual of the season, the North Central College men's wrestling program cruises past Aurora University for their 35th consecutive conference dual meet win, which dates back to 2017. 

Starting off strong with an early 12-0 lead from Julian Valtierrez and Justin Brown, the Cardinals continued their CCIW dominance from their veterans and only dropped two out of the ten matches.  

Next, Charlie Dojan would win by fall over his opponent Evan Reilly, Alex Villar and Cole Cervantes would also win by fall. Payton Geigner and Elijah Brockie would both win by Major Decision. 

At 141 pounds, Bradley Rosen would end up losing his match to Cameron Johnson by a 2-7 decision. At 174 pounds, Joey Jens would also lose his match to Luke Silva by a 2-5 decision. In the final match of the night 2021 All American Robby Bates would end up winning his match with a 3-1 Sudden Victory and closed out an exciting night with the 41-5 win.

The North Central College men's wrestling team returns to the mats on Saturday, November 5th, as they travel to Wisconsin to compete in the Pointer Open at 9am.
