Sept. 20, 2022 – The North Central College Men's Cross Country team has secured its third College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Athlete of the Week Award with Max Svienty earning this week's honor. The CCIW will announce its selection on Tuesday at 2pm.
 

Svienty was the Cardinals' top finisher at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing on Friday, placing 13th overall out of 279 competitors and completing the 8-kilometer course in a time of 25 minutes and 1.72 seconds. North Central finished fifth out of 18 teams in the fourth race of the season.
 

Until then, Svienty and the Cardinals will head to Rock Island, Illinois on Oct. 1st for the Brissman- Lundeen Invitational—their sixth race of the season.
