USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams
Jan. 30, 2023 -Â The North Central College men's cross country team found themselves on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic list for their commitment in athletics and academics.
The Cardinals received the All-Academic Team award for the tenth consecutive year with a 3.517 cumulative team grade point average (GPA). North Central joins 189 Division III programs for the award.
In order to obtain the All-Academic Team distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale that includes the latest grading period.
The Cardinals also earned five individual All-Academic awards among 320 student-athletes across 119 institutions. To receive the award, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
Drew Guimond achieved All-Academic honors while also receiving the Elite 26 award that honors the All-Conference recipient with the highest GPA.
Connor Riss,
Thomas Rohr and
Max Svienty all earned All-Academic and All-Region awards for the season.
James McGlashon rounded out All-Academic honors.
