Oct. 17, 2023 - Claiming his first career College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week, North Central College men's soccer freshman Tommaso Polidori led the Cardinals defense to help tie against North Park University and a win against Carroll University in the past week. 

Polidori anchored a Cardinal defense that has only allowed 10 shots, four on goal, against two teams that are high on the CCIW statistics list for shots per game. 

The defender from Rome, Italy, has tallied two goals on the season, with one being a game winner against Elmhurst University, as well as one assist. Polidori has played in all 15 games for the Cardinals and has started in 12 of them.

Polidori joins Matteo Innocenti, Riley Johnson, and Jack Fairwood as Cardinals who have earned CCIW Weekly Awards this season. This is the second straight week a Cardinal has claimed a Player of the Week award with Fairwood earning the Offensive nomination last week. 

North Central takes on Millikin University for Senior Night on Wednesday, Oct. 18th at 7:30 p.m. Senior night activities are scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
