Oct. 9, 2023 - Claiming her fourth career and third College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Setter of the Week honor of the season, North Central College women's volleyball junior Maddi Barickman again led the league in assists per set over the past seven days.

Barickman totaled 70 assists in the Cardinals' matches against Illinois Wesleyan University and Concordia University Chicago to move her season average to 9.88 assists per set. This mark leads the CCIW and is 16th in all of NCAA Division III. In her three-year career, Barickman has racked up 1,631 assists which is good for eighth all-time in program history.

Four active Cardinals have earned CCIW Weekly Awards as Barickman is joined by Lauren Benson, Aidan Brown, and Aleesa Zebold. This honor is the 40th in school history as the conference began awards player of the week honors in 2000.

North Central looks to move to 3-2 in conference play as they visit Wheaton on Tuesday night. That contest is set for 7 p.m. inside King Arena.
