Naperville, Ill (Nov 22, 2023) - The North Central College men's wrestling team took on Augustana College today in a Conference College of Illinois and Wisconsin dual. The Cardinals took the victory 45-7 and extended their conference dual win streak to 45 wins. 

In the first match, the No. 2 wrestler in the 125-weight class Christian Guzman took down his opponent quickly and efficiently, besting Khaydn Jacobs with a fall in 2:03. 

The 133-weight class match saw Ethan Spacht also quickly take down Sam Deyro with a fall in 1:45. In the 141-weight-class the No. 10 wrestler, Bradley Rosen won with a fall over Will Taylor in 4:08. 

For the 159-weight-class Javen Estrada took down opponent Jack Miller with a fall in 3:15. Armando Murillo in the 165 match defeated his opponent with a fall over Kaiden Rednour in 2:18. Casey Aikman took the 174-weight class match with a 19-3 technical fall in 3:00. Payton Geigner in the 184- weight class won with a 9-1 major decision over Braiden Young. 

The Cardinals will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for their next match on Friday Dec. 1.
