Nov. 6, 2023 - After earning Second Team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin yesterday, Amber Vande Hei of the North Central College women's volleyball team earned the season's final CCIW Defensive Player of the Week award.

The junior from Green Bay, Wis. recorded 1.60 blocks per set in the Cardinals' lone match against Elmhurst this week, the most in the conference over the past seven days. She also tallied seven kills to lead the team in points with 13.

This marks her first career CCIW Player of the Week award and the sixth for North Central this season. Vande Hei joins Maddi Barickman, Aleesa Zebold, and Lauren Benson as Cardinals to be named a CCIW Player of the Week this season.

North Central finished the season with an 18-10 record which is the most wins since the 2015 season.
