NWCA Region Wrestler of the Month
 
Dec. 6, 2023 - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has selected North Central College women's wrestler Kendra Ryan as the NWCA Region Wrestler of the Month for Region 4.
 
This is the first time in Ryan's career she has been chosen for this award and only the sixth time in program history that a North Central women's wrestler has been picked. Ryan is automatically nominated for National Wrestler of the Month which will be released on Monday, Dec. 11.
 
She is ranked No. 1 in the 109-pound weight class for the last two NWCA Polls of the season. After finishing fifth in the 2022-23 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships last season, Ryan has started the 2023-24 season off strong. She is currently 12-0 on the season tallying 10 technical falls, one decision, and one pin so far.
 
Ryan and the Cardinals take on multiple ranked opponents at the North Central College Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 10 inside the Residence Hall/Recreation Center.
