Feb. 14, 2023 - After setting the new career record for kills with 714 and helping the North Central College men's volleyball team to a 6-2 record, outside hitter
Jared Moser has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National Player of the Week.
Moser had an exceptional week, setting a new program record for kills in a four-set match with 22 during the Cardinals' 3-1 victory over Benedictine University on Saturday. He also totaled 13 kills, three aces and four digs against the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons on Wednesday.
Moser faced 45 serves this past week and did not commit a single reception error. He averaged 5.0 kills per set with a .429 hitting percentage on the week.
This is the second time Moser has won the AVCA National Player of the Week award. He also won it on March 10, 2020.
Moser and the Cardinals head to Thousand Oaks, California this weekend for the California Lutheran University Tournament. Their first match is set for Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. (PT) against California Lutheran at the Gilbert Arena.
