ORLANDO, Fla. (Mar. 15, 2023) - Finishing up their spring break trip to Orlando, the North Central College women's tennis team secured a 7-2 victory over the Scots of Macalester College on Wednesday afternoon.

Natalie Bassett and Abigail Penados cruised to an 8-1 win in the No. 1 position. Also locking up a doubles win, Anastasia Bozovic and Nina Patience earned an 8-3 victory at No. 3.

Penados picked up the first Cardinals' win of singles play with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1. Following a Liveta Ezerskis 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles, No. 2 Bassett claimed a 6-4, 6-2 win to clinch North Central's 17th win of the season. Kayla McSweeney and Mikayla Edquiban also secured wins in singles play for the Cardinals.

North Central is back in action on Friday night as they visit No. 1 University of Chicago at XS Tennis. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.
