CCIW Release

Apr. 3, 2023 - For the second consecutive week, North Central College men's volleyball student-athlete Jared Moser has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Hitter of the Week after turning in a dominating performance in the Cardinals 3-0 sweep over Carthage College as the Cardinals claimed the conference regular season title. The CCIW announced its selections on Monday. 

The sixth-ranked Cardinals (19-3, 9-0 CCIW) claimed the program's first-ever CCIW regular season champions title on Saturday after taking down No. 9 Carthage (15-6, 7-2 CCIW) in Kenosha. 

Moser was a standout performer in Saturday's match knocking down 22 kills to set a program record for kills in a three-set match. The senior outside hitter turned in a .457 hitting percentage in the match. Moser also notched one service ace, one block, and five digs on the day. 

The Wheeling native leads the conference with his 4.18 kills per set average and ranks sixth nationally among all Division III competitors.

North Central looks to complete its undefeated run in the CCIW on Saturday, April 8 as the Cardinals host North Park University for Senior Day. Match time in Gregory Arena is set for 3 p.m. with senior recognition preceding the match.
