July 13, 2023 - For the fourth consecutive season, the North Central College women's volleyball team has been honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with the Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Thursday.

The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams with a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The AVCA and United States Marine Corps sponsor the award as 1,332 collegiate and high school teams have received the accolades. 

The Cardinals finished the 2022 season posting a 14-11 overall record with a 4-4 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin mark. North Central hosted a CCIW Tournament match for the first time since 2009. Maddi Barickman and Aidan Brown were selected as First Team All-CCIW members with Emily Stallmann achieving second team honors.

The 2023 campaign begins on Sept. 1 when the Cardinals take on Webster University and Washington University in St. Louis at the ASICS Invite, hosted by WashU. To see their full schedule, click HERE.
