Oct. 11, 2024 - Hosting the second "Pack the Nest" night inside Gregory Arena, the North Central College women's volleyball team welcomes alumni, family, friends, donors, and the entire Naperville community to attend the special event on Friday, Oct. 18 as the Cardinals take on St. Norbert College.
A season ago, North Central set a women's volleyball attendance record when 904 fans showed up to see the Cardinals sweep Concordia University Chicago, 3-0. At the time of the event, the 904 fans marked the fifth most attended NCAA Division III match of the 2023 season.
This season, the Cardinals are 14-5, riding a six-match winning streak while posting a 3-1 record in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin play. As a team, North Central is ranked 32nd in the country for both kills (881) and assists (803). Individually, three Cardinals rank in the top 50 of DIII play with Maddi Barickman recording 651 assists (24th in DIII), Bailey Houlihan notching 352 digs (26th in DIII) and Abbi Barickman tallying 3.77 kills per set (46th in DIII).
Admission into the match is free. Along with Pack the Nest, it is also senior night for the Cardinals as the program honors its eight seniors prior to the start of the match. Senior night festivities will begin at 6:50 p.m. inside Gregory Arena.
