Oct. 28, 2024 - Claiming her seventh career weekly award from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, North Central College women's volleyball senior Maddi Barickman earned the CCIW Setter of the Week honor for her performances this past week.

Barickman averaged 11.57 assists per set this week, the highest mark in the CCIW. She totaled 48 assists in the four sets against Augustana, the most in a four-set match of her career. Barickman added 15 digs, four aces and two blocks over the seven sets played this week. Currently, she ranks 21st in the NCAA Division III with 833 total assists and the most in the CCIW.

This marks Barickman's sixth CCIW Setter of the Week and seventh career weekly honor as the league began awarding a Setter of the Week prior to the 2023 season. On Oct. 10, 2022, she won the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week award.

The Cardinals return home to take on No. 9 Millikin University Wednesday in hopes of locking up a home CCIW Tournament match. That match is set for 7 p.m. inside Gregory Arena.
