NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Feb 8, 2024) - North Central College men's wrestling team took on Concordia University Wisconsin for their Senior Night. The Cardinals shut out the Falcons as they won the dual 57-0, notching their 50th straight Conference College of Illinois and Wisconsin victory. The Cardinals also secured the regular season championship by going 8-0 against the conference.
North Central won every single match of the night. The Cardinals started it off with Christian Guzman (125) winning by a 17-2 technical fall. Senior Robert Precin continued his undefeated streak of the season (8-0) in the 133-pound match as he won in a very quick fashion, by pinning his opponent in 45 seconds.
Josh Robison for the 141-pound match won with a 17-0 technical fall. Senior Caleb Magruder won quickly in the 149-pound match as he earned a pin in 1:27.
Javen Estrada in the 157-pound match won with a pin in 2:13. Alex Villar (165) also took down his match with a pin, Villar only taking 51 seconds.
Elijah Brockie for the 197-pound matchup won with a 17-2 technical fall. Robby Bates ended the dual off with a pin in 2:24.
The Cardinals are heading into the CCIW Championships hosted by Elmhurst University on Thursday, Feb. 15.
