(Sept. 10, 2024)- Dominating the competition at the NCCXC Invitational last Friday, Julia Benes has earned her first ever College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week Award. 

Benes finished the 6K race first among 62 competitors with a time of 22 minutes and 58.7 seconds. She finished 32.5 seconds before anyone else in the event. Benes' efforts helped the Cardinals secure fourth place in the event as the Cardinals scored 86 points as a team. 

Benes and the Cardinals will be back on the course Sept. 21 for the Gil Dodds Invitational at St James Farm,  hosted by Wheaton College. Click HERE for the full schedule.
