D3football.com Team of the Week - Week 3

Sept. 24, 2024 - After clearing a path for a dominant performance in the first conference game of the 2024 season, the North Central College football team's offensive line has been recognized as the top-performing unit among all NCAA Division III programs this week. The group appears on the D3football.com Team of the Week, its national weekly honor roll, released Tuesday.

North Central's starting line, consisting of left tackle Jeske Maples, left guard Nick Fehrle, center Jerred Durian, right guard Sam Pryor and right tackle Ryan Kennelly, enabled the Cardinals to enjoy a balanced offensive effort in Saturday's 63-0 victory at Carthage College. North Central gained 300 yards and 15 first downs rushing and 329 yards and 15 first downs passing, traveling at least 50 yards on nine of 13 possessions. The Cardinals allowed only one tackle for loss and did not commit an offensive penalty. North Central's offensive line has been named to D3football.com's Team of the Week four times in the last six seasons.

Through two games, the No. 1-ranked Cardinals (2-0, 1-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) rank fifth nationally in scoring offense (55.5 points per game) and seventh in total offense (546.0 yards per game).  

North Central hosts Washington University in St. Louis (2-0, 1-0) Saturday in its first home game of the campaign. Kickoff at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium is scheduled for 12:00 noon. Click HERE for the full 2024 schedule and live coverage options.
