(Sept. 24, 2024)- Emerald Svienty has won this week's CCIW Student Athlete of the Week Award, their first of the 2024 cross country season, after competing in the John McNichols Invitational this past Saturday.

In a national championship preview, where the Cardinals faced off against No. 1 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and No. 2 Wartburg College, Svienty helped the Cardinals place third in the John McNichols Invitational thanks to a sixth-place finish. Svienty completed the course, which is the site of the national championship, with a time of 24 minutes and 31 seconds. 

Svienty and the Cardinals hit the road again Saturday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Rock Island, Illinois, for the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College. The race is set to begin at 12:45 p.m. Click HERE for the full schedule.
