CCIW Release

Sept. 3, 2024 - Following a successful beginning to the 2024 campaign, North Central College volleyball setter Maddi Barickman earned the season's first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Setter of the Week for her performance on Friday at the University of Chicago Tournament.

The Cardinals swept St. Olaf University and Carleton College, opening the season 2-0. Barickman led the CCIW in assists per set at 11.00 over the two matches, the lone player to average double-digit assists in the league. After the first week of competition, Barickman ranks 10th in NCAA Division III om assists per set.

Barickman crossed the 2,000 career assist mark against Carleton, now sitting at 2,016. She is just one of seven Cardinals in program history to exceed the 2,000 assist threshold.

North Central is back in action on Friday as they take on Whitworth University (3 p.m.) and St. Catherine University (5 p.m.) at the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh, Wis. for the UW-Oshkosh Marty Petersen Invitational.
