Oct. 13, 2025 - Following a record-setting performance, North Central College wide receiver
Thomas Skokna has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Kicker
Aidan Ellison also earned CCIW Special Teams Player of the Week honors after converting a 50-yard field goal.
Skokna caught a program-record five touchdown passes—the most by any Division III player this season—and tied the school record for points in a single game (30). His 206 receiving yards on eight catches rank fifth in program history for a single game and are the most since DeAngelo Hardy's 278-yard outing in 2023. With 10 touchdowns this season, Skokna now has 23 career receiving scores, fifth-most in school history.
Ellison's 50-yard field goal ties for the fourth-longest in program history. He also holds the sixth (49 yards) and 10th (47 yards) spots on the all-time list. This season, Ellison is 5-for-6 on field goals and 24-for-25 on extra-point attempts.
Skokna and Ellison join quarterback Garret Wilson and defensive lineman Bobby Medina as Cardinals who have earned CCIW weekly honors this season.
North Central travels to North Park University on Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Holmgren Athletic Complex in Chicago. The Cardinals are 52-10-2 all-time against the Vikings and enter the matchup riding a 28-game winning streak.
