Thomas Skokna scored three times in the first half of the Cardinals' 76-14 win over Augustana on Saturday.
Skokna caught the game's first touchdown, a 14-yard score from Garret Wilson. Following a Rahmareon Roby 81-yard interception return, Wilson found Skokna for a three-yard touchdown in the second quarter. His third touchdown of the day came on a 49-yard pass from Wilson to give the Cardinals a 45-7 lead with 2:39 to play in the first half. In total, he reeled in 132 yards on seven catches, all in the first half.
Skokna's 15 touchdown grabs this season lead all NCAA Divisions. Among Division III competition, Skokna is fifth in scoring (12.9 points per game) and 21st in receiving yards (725). He joins Bobby Medina, Aidan Ellison and Wilson as Cardinals to earn CCIW weekly accolades.
The Cardinals hit the road on Saturday, heading north to Carroll University for a noon kickoff at Schneider Stadium. North Central has won all eight matchups since the Pioneers joined the conference in 2016.
