(Oct. 7, 2025)- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced on Tuesday the CCIW Student-Athletes of the Week, where Joseph Sargent was named the Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week following a seven-point week.

Sargent scored the game-winning goal against Trine University in a 1-0 match on Wednesday, Oct. 1, and exploded for two goals and an assist in a 4-0 victory over Dominican University on Saturday, Oct. 4. 

The game-winning goal by Sargent came in the 54th minute, receiving a pass in the 18-yard box and firing to the bottom left of the net. 

The freshman is tied for first in the conference in goals scored with eight and ranks second in total points with 17. He also is tied for the most game-winning goals with three. 

North Central (5-1-4, 1-0-0 CCIW) returns home on Wednesday, Oct. 8, for a CCIW clash with the Augustana College Vikings (3-4-2, 1-1-0 CCIW). Kickoff inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.
