Nov. 17, 2025 - Earning his third College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Special Teams Player of the Week honor, North Central College kicker
Aidan Ellison claimed the accolade following the Cardinals' 24-7 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University.
Ellison made a 42-yard field goal in the third quarter to give North Central a double-digit lead, 17-7. He added three point after attempts along with four touchbacks on his five kickoffs. The Cardinals won their 51st straight CCIW contest, a league record, while finishing off their fifth straight undefeated regular season.
Ellison still holds the longest field goal made in NCAA Division III this season, with his 57-yard field goal against Augustana College. Three of his kicks rank in the top 10 of DIII in 2025 for longest field goals. His 92.3% field goal percentage ranks in a tie for second-best in the nation as well.
North Central claimed nine CCIW weekly honors this season. Ellison joined Myles Walton, Donovan McNeal, Thomas Skokna, Bobby Medina and Garret Wilson as Cardinals selected by the league.
The Cardinals have earned a No. 1 seed in the 2025 NCAA Division III Football Championship, resulting in a first-round bye. North Central will host the winner of Grove City College and Hanover College. That second-round matchup is set for noon at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
