BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Nov. 17, 2025) – In its first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) dual of the season, the North Central College women's wrestling team (4-0, 1-0 CCIW) extended its win streak to four with a 38-6 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University (1-5. 0-2 CCIW) on Monday night in the Shirk Center.

Zurri Zamora opened the dual at 103-pounds, scoring an early takedown before closing out Leslie Guzman with a leg lace for a 10-0 technical fall.
Amaya Yoshizumi won by forfeit at 110-pounds to give North Central an early 9-0 lead.

Nadia Thomas (117) controlled her match with multiple takedowns to secure a 12-0 technical fall over Simone Dyer. In similar fashion,
Carissa Qureshi (124) racked up takedowns to defeat Beyonce Espinosa by way of a 10-0 technical fall.

The Cardinals continued their dominance in the 131-pound and 138-pound divisions with
Layla Morris and
Lynn Horn scoring back-to-back pins. Morris pinned Faith Comas at the 1:34 mark while Horn needed just 52 seconds to take down Jillian Giller, putting North Central ahead 27-0 with four bout remaining.

Natalie Klavetter secured the 145-pound bout with a 10-0 technical fall over Kennedy Murray to add four points to the board before
Sydney Perry (160) matched the effort, earning a 10-0 technical fall over AJ Grant as the Cardinals pushed the lead to 35-0.

Caitlyn Flaherty (180) won the close battle against Sifa Feruzi, ultimately claiming the win by an 8-2 decision, as the team score sat at 38-1 heading into the final bout.

In the 207-weight class,
Tirza TwoTeeth built a 6-0 lead over Angel Hill before Hill rallied for a pin, giving the Titans their lone win of the night. Nonetheless, the Cardinals came away with the 38-6 victory in its CCIW opener.

North Central returns to action Thursday, Nov. 20, traveling to Kenosha, Wisconsin to take on Carthage College for another CCIW dual. The match is set for a 6 p.m. start in Tarble Arena.
