KENOSHA, Wis. (Nov. 20, 2025) – The North Central College women's wrestling team moves to a 5-1 dual record on the year and is 2-0 in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) after an efficient 36-1 win over Carthage College Thursday evening at the Firebirds' Tarble Arena.

Starting off the night in the 103-weight class,
Justine Perez moved into a 3-0 lead over Kirsten Cortez at the end of the first round. Â The freshman padded her lead to 7-0 before Cortez managed to score on a pushout to make it 7-1. Perez scored two more before the end of period to claim the win in a 9-1 decision.

A series of forfeit wins followed suit as
Amaya Yoshizumi (110) and
Riley Rayome (124) grew the Cardinals lead to 13-1 with a double forfeit in the 117 and 138 weight classes.

In the 131 bout,
London Woods rolled Alaina Hollendoner for an early 4-0 lead and quickly climbed to a 10-0 technical fall, adding four more points to the team score.

Scoring the only fall of the night was
Callie Alfieri at 145-pounds. The sophomore used just 33 seconds to pin Abigail Jutrzonka.
Elizabeth Rosenstiel won by forfeit at 160-pounds, giving North Central a 27-1 advantage.

In the final contended match of the night,
Caitlyn Flaherty (180) scored on a double leg takedown with a leg lace to move ahead 6-0 against Josie Hosea. Hosea was unable to counter as Flaherty wrapped up for two more rollovers, notching the win by way of a 10-0 technical fall. Kenzie Conklin (207) closed out the evening with a win by forfeit to solidify North Central's 36-1 victory.

The fourth-ranked Cardinals will travel to Allendale, Mich. to take on No. 3 Grand Valley State University this Sunday, Nov. 23 for a 3 p.m. dual.
